SMISSLINE flexibility ensures that design uncertainty doesn’t result in major costs. Using this mounting structure, you can mix 1, 2, 3 and 4P devices on the busbar, in any sequence.

If final designs are not available, it’s easy and safe to deploy space on the busbar and populate later on site.

The total cost of ownership of a SMISSLINE system over its projected life cycle is much lower than a standard distribution board. The smart system enables components to be snapped on and off under voltage, without needing additional personal protective equipment (PPE) – s o you can make repairs or adjustments simply, efficiently and safely.

We estimate that you’ll recover the extra initial cost of a SMISSLINE and hardwired DIN rail mounted design by the time two modifications are made to a distribution board.

The testing of combinations of moulded case circuit breaker (MCCB) and miniature devices in the system provide an improved selective solution up to 40kA. This ensures our standard design sub-distribution board (SDB) is suitable for deployment in most areas of the data centre without having an issue with discrimination.

The true hot swappable technology allows for enhanced operator safety. The system has been independently certified for component replacement without shutdown. The devices are interlocked so that they cannot be withdrawn on load.

SMISSLINE panels are standardized and quicker to mass produce than standard DIN rail hardwired panels. And they’re neater and far easier to connect, which speeds up installation and commissioning. Plus, your risk is lower – it’s more unlikely mistakes will be made as there’s a clear indication of phase on the devices, as well as clear marking of individual PEN and N connections for each circuit.
