Purchasing Assistant

About this role 

The Purchasing Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment, working to deadlines and ordering supplies and equipment based on production requirements.  The Purchasing Assistant will report to the Procurement Specialist.

Key responsibilities 
  • Issue Purchase Orders to Suppliers.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.
  • Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.
  • Monitoring stock levels and identifying purchasing needs.
  • Maintain information on product codes on SAP Business ONE.
  • General Administrative Duties.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
  • Work experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Officer or similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in SAP Business ONE is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to work, willingness to learn and be part of a team.
  • Good work ethic and attention to detail is a must.

  • Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 16:30 and Friday, 07:30 to 13:30.
