General Operatives

About this role 

Our team of General Operatives are the backbone of the work we do here at Capital. This varied role is a critical part of the Production team.

The duties delivered by our General Operatives are quite diverse. Some aspects of the role require a high level of finesse, dexterity and precision, while others require skills such as manual handling and physical adeptness. By tailoring duties per person, we aim to ensure that assigned tasks are best suited to the skillset and abilities of each individual member of the team. Previous experience is not required as full training is provided. Full-time and casual contract options are available.

Key responsibilities 
  • Carry out assembly and sub-assembly of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Provide support in assembling electrical panels when needed.
  • Assist with finishing and packing products.
  • Adhere to standard internal procedures.
  • Accurately complete system updates and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Complete quality checks as applicable.
  • Support supervisors on various assigned tasks as required.
  • Follow all quality control procedures set by the company.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects where requested.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety and environmental guidelines at all times.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and innovative working environment.
  • Professionally deliver duties with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Complete all training as required for your role.
  • Support colleagues on other teams when requested.
Requirements
  • No experience is required as full training will be provided.
  • A degree of mechanical aptitude and dexterity.
  • Good work ethic and attention to detail is a must.
  • Flexible approach to work, willingness to learn and be part of a team.
  • Comfortable in following standard operating procedures in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good working knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Previous experience in mechanical or electrical assembly is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in using hand tools is an advantage.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland (with a current valid work permit if needed).
Benefits
  • Pay: €14.00-€17.00 per hour
  • Full-time and casual / temporary roles are available.
  • Working hours: typically, 7:30-16:30 Mon-Thurs, 7:30-13:30 Fri. Occasional weekend work may be required.
